FREDERIK CROWN PRINCE OF DENMARK EDUCATION & TRAINIG HRH The Crown Prince started his school life at Krebs School 1974-1981. He also had a private tutor at his home in Amalienborg Palace from 1974-1976 and from third grade in 1976 at Krebs School. After this he attended the École des Roches in Normandy in France from 1982 – 1983. He completed his college years taking his final exams to become a "Student" (equivalent of A-levels) at Øregård Gymnasium in 1986. The Crown Prince completed studies in political science at Harvard University, USA, during 1992-1993 and graduated with an MA in Political Science from Aarhus University in February 1995. HRH The Crown Prince has also completed extensive military training in all three services. He began as a recruit in the Royal Life Guards in 1986; Lieutenant of the Reserve 1988; Platoon Leader of the Household Troops 1988; First Lieutenant of the Reserve 1989; Danish "Frogman"Corps in 1995 (equivalent of the UK’s Special Boat Squadron or the US Navy SEALS); First Lieutenant of the Naval Reserve 1995; Lieutenant Commander of the Navy 1997; Captain of the Army Reserve, 1997; Captain of the Air Force 2000. Studies at the Defence Academy 2001-2002. Promoted to Major of the Army and Air Force Reserve, and to Commander in the Navy 2002. Service in the Danish UN Mission in New York ( 3 months) in 1994. From October 1998 to October 1999 HRH The Crown Prince worked as a First Secretary in the Royal Danish Embassy in Paris.
